Curriculum Overview

The Primary ESL Standard program takes a whole child approach to learning that focuses on English language and skill development, and the social interaction skills necessary for children to communicate with confidence in English. It’s delivered by our experienced team of teachers, who have a deep understanding of child development and learning, and of the specific needs of Vietnamese learners of English, ensuring Primary Vinser language learning needs are met. Regular training is provided for our teachers and we have a rigorous performance management system to ensure our teachers apply contemporary best practice teaching approaches and methods in all our classrooms. We use the Cambridge International Primary ESL standards-based curriculum, a curriculum that is focused on helping children enjoy language learning while developing a well-rounded communicative competence. Our extensive reading component for all age groups complements our core curriculum and helps children develop a reading for pleasure habit and supports language learning attainment goals. The Primary ESL Standard program is designed to support a smooth transition into our Secondary school ESL program by providing children with a strong foundation in English and the active learning skills and strategies they need to succeed in our Secondary program.
