Overview of Support Systems & Terminology

Our workplace support system at Vinschool is primarily composed of people within your departments who you can rely on for work-related assistance. We have Teacher Assistants and Teaching Assistants in the office who can help you with any supplies you need or connect you with IT for support. We understand that the motivations of teachers to perform and excel in their instructional practice, preparation or delivery should be taken into consideration by support strategies, which include tools and equipment, as well as other necessary resources at their disposal.

Performance Management

Management of teacher performance is a comprehensive tool that assists managers in monitoring and evaluating their employees' work. Teachers and managers benefit from having a formal performance-management system in place because it helps them communicate effectively the expectations, goals, and career progression, as well as how their work contributes to the overall vision of Vinschool. At Vinschool, we take advantage of the benefits of the Classroom Observation Tool (COT). It is a formative assessment tool used in the classroom setting and compiles a list of teaching behaviors that have been identified as contributing to high-quality instruction. After gathering this information, the HoDs work with their teachers to devise goals for improving these instructional strategies.


Professional Development

Professional development can take many forms, such as online courses, training events, or seminars. It is in these engagements where teachers can improve their abilities and, as a result, improve student outcomes.
