After accepting an offer letter from Vinschool, new expat employees will receive a welcome letter with general instructions on the onboarding process.

WELCOME LETTER

A welcome letter to the new employees not only shows the expression of excitement about having them as part of Vinschool but also helps them better prepare for their onboarding by providing basic information, including:

  • List of required documents for submission to HR (work permit/ Visa/ HR records purposes).
  • List of FAQs by new expat employees.
ENTRY PLAN TO VIETNAM AND VISA RUN
Entry plan to Vietnam is applied for overseas hires.

While preparing for their entry to Vietnam, overseas hires contact the HR Department to discuss their entry plan details (expected date of arrival/ flight arrangement/ transportation…) so that HR can help arrange for their 1st Vietnam Visa.

Visa run is applied for new hires currently living in Vietnam.

One of the purposes of a Visa run is to change the sponsorship status of the employee’s Visa (from a company’s sponsorship to Vinschool sponsorship).

PASSPORT
A passport is most important document when traveling abroad. There are requirements for passports that you will need to know before your arrival to Vietnam. Details can be referred via TOA - passport section.
VISA AND TRC CARDS & WORKING VISA

The Government of Vietnam requires all expatriates to have valid Vietnam Visas when staying in the country. When working at Vinschool, forreign employees will get their first Visa sponsored by Vinschool, a work Visa or a Temporary Resident Card (TRC) and an end of employment Visa. If after the current Work Permit and Work Visa expire, the employees still continue their employment with Vinschool, their work permit and Work Visa/TRC will be renewed accordingly.

WORK PERMIT

Work Permit is required for expatriates. In order to obtain a work permit, expats employees are required to submit all necessary documents for a work permit by the end of their first probationary month at Vinschool.
